Soccer wise, USA tied Ecuador in their friendly matchup, as did Saudi Arabia and Uruguay (featuring a performance by the reforming Luis Suarez).

The Euro competitions were interesting, the one I was most curious about was Wales-Bosnia-Herzegovia, as an Everton follower keeping an eye on Muhamed Besic. The game ended nil-nil, and I never was able to find a video feed on it. However, the ones that really had me on the edge for a bit was Netherlands-Kazakhstan and Italy-Azjerbaijan. In both games, down to about the 80th minute were tied-up. Normally I would have expected something to the degree of the Belgium-Andorra game, where Andorra only pulled off two shots on goal the whole game, to the mess of shots and 6 goals that Belgium scored. Now, Netherlands and Italy both pulled ahead, but it's worth noting how close it got.

MLS side, the Vancouver Whitecaps pulled off a nice 1-0 victory over Seattle to pull into the playoff picture, hopping over the Portland Timbers who we had talked about the last time. Sporting KC kept afloat at 2nd with a win over the Chicago Fire, keeping them back down towards the bottom and wallowing with the Montreal Impact. The next two days have alot of very important games, namely on Sunday both Texas teams (FC Dallas is already in the playoff range) will play the top of their divisions. The point spread on the teams under the top two is very close, so most of these spots towards the bottom of the playoff range will be up for grabs.

Tomorrow will be a big day for baseball as well, as the NPB begins the playoffs, MLB heads into the AL/NL Championship Series, Netherlands' Hoofdklasse and the final relegation game will wrap up, and the Mexican Pacific League will run a full table of games. Cuban series takes a day off before beginning the next series of 3, and the Argentinian LMB will run a full day of games on Sunday with the hope that these will not be rained out.
