AND NOW TO SOCCA. I always keep an eye on what Ireland is doing, they usually don't get terribly far in international play, but they do fight hard, and we'll probably get to see more of them as they continue progress and if they get a chance to play with some of their better players, considering a few are injured right now. The smaller teams are definitely fighting harder than usual, and it looks like Ireland caught Germany by surprise here on this one. For Ireland this is definitely one of those "When a tie is a win situations."

Euro 2016-Qualifiers

Germany 1-1 Republic of Ireland

International Friendly

United States 1-1 Honduras
Canada 0-1 Colombia

Now Hondurus potentially might miss the Gold Cup next year depending on the 5th place matchup with the 5th place in the Caribbean Cup. So this may be the last time the US may play Honduras for a while. One thing that threw me: this is pretty much the A-squad, there's a couple of guys not playing, but otherwise, these are the same guys playing that were here for the World Cup.

But most of these guys play in the MLS, and their teams are leading up to the playoffs! And as a reminder, the MLS does not schedule around the International break. We only need to look at the Houston Dynamo, who had 3 very important games within a 7 day span, already missing a few guys to injuries ALSO lacking Boniak Garcia and Luis Gurrido to...oh, the Honduras team. So yeah, thanks MLS. Don't try to throw this on Hondurus.

I was actually very excited to catch a bit of the Canadian game, though at a bad time as I mostly just saw Colombian players trot on and off the field. Still, it seems Canada put up a great fight, and when you're up against Falcao and James Rodriguez, to only let in one goal? Not bad. So hopefully we'll see a bit more of this Canadian team, which has immense potential, they just need to hone down and they could be a threat for the Gold Cup next year.
